The CRE world is witnessing major shifts in occupier sentiments due to the evolved working patterns, especially so after the pandemic-led disruption. However, what has remained unstirred throughout is the need for flexibility in work model.

The influence of temporary work-from-home flexibility now reverberates in post-pandemic workplace strategies, conditioning companies into incorporating flexibility into their short-term and long-term plans. By adopting a hybrid work model, companies are bringing offices to their workforce, giving life to distributed workforce strategy, wherein flex workspaces have emerged as the catalyst.

In our latest report, we surveyed C-level occupiers to understand their workplace strategies, draw insights into current preferences and forecast how these trends will shape future preferences.

Hybrid work model has emerged as the top choice among businesses ranging from start-ups to large corporates. 53% of our respondents have shown their likeliness towards working from home + office, followed by 24% preferring to work only from base location.
In pursuit of providing flexibility to their workforce that’s now widespread across Indian cities, companies are increasingly incorporating distributed workforce strategy, which has proven to save time and cost. 79% respondents of our survey feel likewise and these benefits encourage them to continue following a distributed workforce strategy.
With accelerated adoption of the hybrid work model and distributed workforce strategy, flex workspaces will go on to play a crucial role in occupiers’ portfolio strategy for the short as well as long term. We’ve found 74% occupiers embracing flex workspace in their current strategy while 77% respondents have plans to implement it in their future.
