The idea of flexibility as a work culture has expanded over the last couple of years. From owning a space temporarily without having to shell out a huge capital to the idea of choosing where and how one likes to work, the concept of flexibility in workplace has continuously evolved. The pandemic has even further pushed the idea of flexible spaces as companies embrace remote working and hybrid model on a mass level. The constraints of commutation and the challenge of keeping employees safe meant that organisations had to find innovative ways to sustain their businesses.
While coworking spaces have always been built and designed to provide the flexibility of space, how can we further stretch this concept and make it even more accessible without compromising on its infrastructure and amenities. How can we cater to the needs of collaboration and in person meetings even as companies continue to strike a balance of remote work?
Understanding the market
Different sizes and growth stages of companies meant different workplace needs. And especially as businesses adapt to the new normal, we are seeing unique needs emerging across sectors. For instance, a big multinational company might be planning to implement a hybrid workplace model- a combination of remote and in premises work. An emerging start-up could be thinking of adopting a work near home model for their employees, to save time and costs. A growing company has launched a distributed workforce model where 2-3 of its team members work from office premises while the rest of them work remotely. In such a situation, easier access to quality workplace, convenience of finding a space on short notice within certain desired distance as well as a hassle-free booking system become critical needs of the hour. To attain to these requirements, we focussed in enhancing on two significant areas and came up with Awfis Now.
Providing Pan India access
We integrated all our centres to provide a single point access to Awfis pan India network. This means that organisations and employees can now choose to work from any locations from across Awfis’ 150 centres in the country. The idea is to provide the flexibility of booking desk, meeting rooms or even Grade A office spaces from anywhere as per their convenience and needs. This feature can come handy for large multinational companies which have adopted a hybrid model or both emerging start ups and growing companies which are looking only for a meeting room or specific desk for few of its employees.
User friendly across team members
In addition to providing the flexibility of using our pan India network, it was important for us to create a mechanism so anybody who needs a workspace can access our spaces in a hassle-free way. To make this possible, under Awfis Now, we added the option for users to transfer credits to their team members. Members do not need to pay every time to book a desk. Users can pre book meeting rooms at any of Awfis centres through credits of their team members. In addition, the mobility packages offer a range of options of accessing spaces and meeting rooms. For instance, under the pro and enterprise level accounts, team members can transfer their credits while having the option to use spaces and pre-book meeting rooms across Awfis’ network on the go.
Awfis Now is not just providing flexible working options like never before, but also giving the idea of flexibility a whole new meaning!
