The world of design is fast evolving and organisations are thoughtfully finding ways to create authenticity in the workplace. The design of workspaces unknowingly inspires people to come to work and is also seen to have a profound impact on their performance and how they behave so jazz up your workplace smartly.
A collaborative workplace bridges physical, virtual, demographic environments seamlessly. Incorporating a variety of collaboration styles through hot-desking, break-out zones, cafes, meeting rooms etc. will augment engagement and networking. Keeping in mind different personalities who come in to work, integrating both modular and contemporary furniture styles would enhance greater user experience.
Institutional investments in commercial real estate is expected to see an upsurge this year and shared workplaces will continue to grow with flexible leasing structures
At Awfis, the design partners are encouraged in voicing and assisting with what they believe is best for the sapce. Awfis being a shared workspaces provider requires a much broader spectrum of thought , where a designer must transcend the usual design sensibilities of a space and think of a varied user base with sometimes absolutely contradicting work profiles.
At Awfis, the aim is to provide curated experiences through the programme #AwfisMoments. In its pilot edition in November, members were part of a 'Culinary Week', consisting of cooking competitions, dessert trails, and scotch tastings. They also got to attend sessions with chefs giving training on cooking techniques and sushi-rolling.
There is uberisation of real estate and hence we are hopeful to grow in tier 2 cities as well. While 85% of these spaces are in Tier 1 cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, the remaining 15% are based in Tier 2 cities. It is about enabling a good working experience for the present generation professionals by taking care of all the important aspects to serve a customer – Engagement, Enablement and Experience,” feels Ramani.
